Mary Magdalene Title

Mary Magdalene ImageI have been reading a great deal and there is a constant question. Who was Mary Magdalene? The bride at the wedding in Cana? The woman with the alabastar jar? The woman who annointed Jesus with expensive oils? The woman in Bethany? The woman at the foot of the cross? The one He loved? I am going to attempt to organize her story in an orderly fashion . . .

Mary Magdalene is a fascinating, elusive, and mysterious woman and, as a result, her story will be updated as time allows. Please visit often and please send an email if you have any constructive advice, new information, or websites to recommend.

Please sign the guestbook and leave those wonderful messages so I have the opportunity to meet you and visit your website. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know visitors to Shekinah.

I have been reading once more . . . Surprise! There are many books about Mary Magdalene and the Holy Grail. I have just read several and all have slightly different opinions or approaches to the subject. Regardless of the author, there are some absolutely fascinating hypothesis and their research is extensive. Who is correct? I don't know. I can only continue reading and present information to you. Just keep an open mind when you read these books.

Old Testament and New Testament document translations vary greatly depending upon the sponsor, for lack of a better word. When I attended Sunday School as a child I was left with the impression that there was only one form of Judaism. That was incorrect during the 1st Century AD just as it is today; Conservative, Orthodox, Hasidic, Reformed, etc. Also, there was not only one form of Christianity. There were the followers of Jesus, James (the brother of Jesus), John the Baptist, the Apostole Peter, and Paul just to name a few. Look at the many different Christian churches there are in the world today. I am not making an issue of this. I just wish to bring this to your attention so you are aware of the many different thoughts of the day. One thing is certain. The more I research and study, I discover how uninformed I have been. As it says on the first page of this web site:

This web site is best viewed
with an open mind.

I will add to these pages to include other views or references to Mary Magdalene and the mysteries that surround her as time allows. Thank you for your patience.
